Our NPs provide comprehensive mental health consultations and treatment plans for common psychiatric conditions.
Some examples include:
Anxiety, addiction, depression, mood changes, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attack, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), seasonal affective disorder, trauma and loss, and more.

Can’t find a family doctor or walk-in clinic that’s open after-hours? Virani NP Services connects you with a Canadian-licensed Nurse Practitioner online until 10pm, so you can ask an NP for medical or mental health advice and get the help you need without having to go to an after-hours clinic.

NPs can give you a prescription at their discretion, based on your consultation, without needing a walk-in clinic.
Prescriptions at VNPS.ca are digital, and we fax them to the pharmacy of your choice for fulfillment.
Through our pharmacy partners, we can even have them delivered to your door in most cases, at no additional cost to you.
NPs can provide sick notes for school or work for short absences, so you can focus on resting instead of sitting in a waiting room.
They can also provide notes for many situations, such as a note for a chiropractor or registered massage therapist visit.
Nurse Practitioners at VNPS.ca can order lab work, such as blood tests, if they deem it medically appropriate.
NPs can issue lab requisitions directly through the VNPS platform for all kinds of common health issues, including testing iron levels, sexual health concerns, and more.
Diagnostic imaging requisitions, such as ultrasounds and x-rays, are also available. Please note that we’re not able to guarantee that the NP will order any specific tests, as this is left to their medical discretion.
Medical emergencies
Virtual care is not meant for emergencies. In an emergency, please call 911 or go to the ER.
Controlled medications
Do not book with our NPs with the goal of getting narcotic prescriptions.
Backdated sick notes
Sick notes cannot be backdated beyond one week.
